Shannon Crockatt began her fine art education at Cawthra Park S.S. of the Arts. She later graduated from the University of Toronto where she studied historical and contemporary art and literature. Shannons studio work was accomplished at Sheridan College of Craft and Design. During this time she continued to explore ideas through painting and photography and was introduced to computer generated imagery.
Following the completion of her degree she was chosen to instruct Level III classes at Springbank Art Centre whose curriculum includes art history and practical technique. She is currently employed as a digital photographer at a commercial studio in Toronto.
Her work has been selected for several exhibits and was recently shown at Dell Bello Gallery Toronto, Hamilton City Gallery and Mississauga City Gallery. Her background combines fine art traditions and modern methods on image creation for an enhanced visual perspective.
